AI helps shape your book
At your request, AI turns your material into readable book text and suggests suitable chapters, a title, a storyline and a structure. You review and confirm the proposal first. A foreword, afterword and back-cover blurb are suggested once there is enough information.
Every approved session takes your book a little further. You don’t have to work out where everything belongs. You tell the story and make the decisions; Siem Stories helps organise it into a coherent manuscript.

Set humour, suspense, action, mystery, emotion, romance, darkness and pace for each book. Decide whether AI should stay close to your story or add imaginative atmosphere. Your original words and existing chapter versions are preserved; new text is always presented as a suggestion first.
AI editor & book profile
Choose a profile such as science fiction for ages six and up, so vocabulary, sentences and suspense suit the audience. Prefer to start freely? AI can suggest a genre and reading age later, for you to confirm. You will also receive focused questions about gaps and inconsistencies.
Image studio
Keep your own photos and image ideas. AI image generation using a consistent visual character description is not active yet.

Share a fixed version or selected chapters with friends, with a time limit and a review option.
Siem Store & publishing
Sell through one personal book link as a paperback, hardback, e-book, online book or audiobook. Sales reporting and automated print on demand are planned once the core system and partner agreements are stable.
Books created outside Siem Stories are welcome too
Import your own manuscript for sale. Rights, files and content rules will first be checked using automated scans and a final human review. If a book is declined, you will receive a specific reason and a way to appeal.

A good book reads differently in every language
Siem Stories is being tested in five languages before its public launch. Dutch and English are first in practical testing; German, French and Spanish will follow with native speakers checking grammar, dialogue, punctuation, register and reading rhythm.

Tell your story freely, within safe boundaries
Siem Stories makes room for storytelling, but does not support illegal or seriously harmful content. Requests and AI output may be checked automatically. If there is doubt, an action or publication may be paused for human review. The precise rules will be set out clearly in the content rules and terms.
No checking system is flawless. Public publishing will therefore also include reporting, human reassessment and an appeal process.

One text unit is the larger number of started blocks of 1,000 words or 6,000 UTF-8 bytes. Failed or blocked AI actions refund reserved customer points. Successful actions use points even if you reject the result.

This sales feature is not active yet. The aim is to have Siem Store working by the end of 2027. The planned workflow will guide you from manuscript and printed proof to a shareable sales link and orders, once the technology, checks and printing partners demonstrably work well.

A customer, relative or supporter places an order. It goes to the printing partner, who produces the book and sends it directly.
One order = one printed book
No boxes of books. No minimum print run.
Once you approve your printed proof, each customer can order a single copy. The printing partner produces that copy and sends it directly. You do not need to fund 100 or 1,000 copies in advance or store them at home.
- A printed proof is required before print sales. You see and feel the actual finished book first.
- Costs are included in every order. Production, packaging, delivery and sales costs are factored into the price in advance; your expected proceeds appear alongside them.
- Author copies are optional. Later, order 1, 5 or 10 copies yourself at the displayed production and delivery costs.
- A new physical proof is needed after a substantial change. A different format, cover, paper or page layout must be physically approved again.
This workflow is technically feasible: CB describes Single Copy as exactly one copy per order, and Print API offers API-driven printing, unbranded packaging and direct delivery. Final formats, delivery times, prices, returns arrangements and the contracted partner will only be confirmed after a business agreement and practical testing.

Siem Stories will guide the creator through a checklist for both the digital and physical proof. Approval applies to one specific, locked edition.

The checks follow standard official printing guidelines covering trim size, bleed, margins, spine, embedded fonts, blank pages, pagination and sufficient image resolution. Automated file checks help, but do not replace your physical proof.
One book, several ways to enjoy it
Readers choose to read, listen or hold a copy
For each title, the creator enables the formats they want and sets the sale price together with Siem Stories. Before publication, each format shows its costs and expected author proceeds separately.
The book page will only show formats that are actually available, with bundles where offered. Access, pricing, usage rights, download options and any restrictions will be clearly displayed before payment.
Your sales overview, without becoming a bank
See exactly what you earn and when you get paid
For each order, the creator dashboard will show the sale price, VAT, production, delivery, channel costs, the Siem Stories fee and your net proceeds. It will distinguish pending amounts, available funds, the next payout and money already paid into your bank account.
The intended technical approach uses an authorised platform payment service such as Stripe Connect. The final partner, fees, payout days, verification and reserve policy will be tested and legally agreed before opening.
Target: by the end of 2027
Siem Store, digital print proofs, proof copies, a sales dashboard and automated print on demand. For each accepted title, the creator sets the price above the displayed minimum costs. Siem Stories provisionally receives 15% of the amount remaining after VAT, printing and delivery; the exact calculation will be shown before publication and for every sale.
Potential additional sales channels
We are exploring bol and other bookshops for greater reach. Access depends on acceptance, ISBNs, files and service standards, so these integrations are not promised yet.
An honest roadmap
What is coming, and when?
- NowA public information website and a separate writing app in testing: sources, voice recordings, AI book text, five interface languages, checks and cost limits.
- NextMore user and native-speaker testing, recovery tests and privacy review. PDF, EPUB, DOCX and text exports are already built in; subscription payments will follow only after cost and usage testing.
- 2027Mandarin Chinese, Hindi and Arabic are planned. An open wish list will let customers and supporters request other languages. We are also working towards app store releases, printed proofs and a reviewed publishing workflow.
- 2027 targetSiem Store: a shareable book page where customers can choose paperback, hardback, e-book, online reading or audiobook, if the creator offers those formats. Print orders go automatically to the print-on-demand partner; digital purchases appear in the customer’s personal library.
- Research for 2027Siem Stories aims to join bol and other sales channels as the business seller and publishing service. Creators would not need their own business seller accounts. This requires Siem Stories to be accepted, ISBN registration, correct files and working delivery, returns and customer-service processes.
How sales are intended to work
Feasible, but subject to acceptance and contracts. In this model, the creator does not need their own bol seller account: Siem Stories is the business seller and handles customer service, returns and platform rules. Bol must first accept Siem Stories as a selling partner. CB supports proofs, paperbacks, hardbacks and single-copy print on demand. For the Netherlands, we also account for ISBNs, author and publishing agreements and the Dutch fixed book price legislation.
Language, residence and sales
Choosing a different language does not automatically change the terms
You choose the language in which you read this website. Applicable rules depend, among other things, on your country of residence, whether you act as a consumer or a business, and the countries Siem Stories targets. Your language choice does not determine this.
This website describes a test version and future plans; it is not personal legal or tax advice. The Netherlands has its own business-registration and tax criteria. DAC7 is a separate reporting obligation: whether it applies depends on the actual platform and sales model. A reporting threshold is not a tax-free allowance. Final sales and publishing terms have not been established yet.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download the app already?
Yes. Choose ‘Install the app’ on this website to install the web app on your phone or computer. You currently sign in with ChatGPT to access your own books. App store downloads are not available yet.
Can I use Siem Stories already?
The writing app is available as a test version. Your own books are only accessible after signing in. AI depends on available test credits and the shared test budget. The app is in testing; payments are not active yet.
What happens after I record a story?
Save and replay your recording, transcribe it yourself or choose AI transcription. Check the text first. Creating book text is a separate AI action with its own points cost and a suggestion for you to review.
Does AI decide what goes into my book?
No. Write entirely yourself, keep memos, turn your story into book text or develop an idea with AI. You choose and approve.
Are my own words preserved?
Yes. Sources and versions are saved separately. AI text is a new version and never overwrites your original source.
How are my books protected against data loss?
The database has automatic recovery points. Siem Stories also keeps up to the 50 most recent compressed book copies per active book in separate storage. The app shows when the latest separate copy was made. Without spending AI points, you can create another copy or download your book data to your own computer or cloud storage. No online service can promise zero risk; that is why we combine recovery, separate copies and your own downloads.
What happens to my voice, text and photos?
Your books belong to your signed-in account. When you request an AI action, the content needed for that action is processed by the AI service. You can download your work and manage or delete your material in the writing app. The test version and final privacy information are undergoing further review; payments are not active yet.
Can I sell a book without Dutch KvK registration?
We cannot promise this for everyone. Registration requirements depend on your activities and circumstances; author payments may be taxable. Sales through Siem Stories are not active yet. Publishing agreements and required information must be established for each supported country before launch.

Once privacy, support and initial testing capacity are ready. A working sign-up option will then be added to this page.
